Product detailed description
BERGEN POLYBOX CHAMPAGNE continental bed, 180 cm
BERGEN is for anyone who wants a continental bed that looks right without hours of configuring. We have pre-assembled it from the same components and in the same fabric as our popular ELEGRA bed – with a different headboard and a firmer base.
The BERGEN headboard is one clean upholstered panel with no split and no buttons. A calm, hotel-style line that suits a modern bedroom as well as a guesthouse room. Beneath it stand two POLYBOX 30 bases – solid upholstered boxes without springs, 30 cm high, with sharp corners and fine piping.
The whole bed is upholstered in Palladium velour in shade 1 Champagne. It feels as soft as suede, has a water-repellent finish and is built for hotel use.
The bed is supplied without a mattress, so you can choose the one that suits you – we are happy to advise which mattress works best on a firm base. Made to order and assembled in the Czech Republic.
BERGEN headboard
Width 180 cm, height 120 cm, depth 14 cm. One smooth upholstered panel with crisp edges – an uninterrupted line and soft back support for reading in bed.
2× POLYBOX 30 base
Two solid boxes, 90 × 200 cm, 30 cm high. Chipboard frame reinforced with beech beams, PUR foam top layer with anti-slip finish. No springs – nothing creaks, nothing sags.
Palladium 1 Champagne fabric
The whole bed – headboard and both bases – in one fabric and one shade. Water-repellent velour, 100 % polyester, 340 g/m².
You choose the mattress separately, according to how you sleep. The bed takes a 180 × 200 cm mattress.
Why Polybox instead of Springbox:
Polybox is a solid base without springs. The mattress rests on a flat, stable surface, so the mattress does all the work – exactly as its maker intended. It suits pocket-spring, foam and latex mattresses and anyone who prefers a firmer bed.
A bed at this price should not be bought from a photo.
Come and see BERGEN in our showroom at Vinohradská 37, Prague. Feel the Palladium fabric and try mattresses on a firm base. We will help you find the right mattress for your weight and sleeping position.
COME AND TRY ITPalladium is a soft velour, smooth and suede-like to the touch. The fibre structure is invisible, and brushing it with your hand reveals the typical shading effect with a subtle sheen.
It has a water-repellent finish. Spilled water, juice or wine can be wiped off quickly with a dry cloth because the liquid does not soak straight into the fibres.
Clean with a soft cloth and products made for upholstered furniture. Avoid large amounts of water and bleaching agents.
A complete BERGEN continental bed, 180 × 200 cm, with a solid POLYBOX base, upholstered in Palladium fabric. Made in the Czech Republic.

More about Royal Comfort
Royal Comfort was founded in 2012 by Czech owners, and from the very beginning we have focused on one thing: helping you sleep well. We make luxury continental beds and high mattresses with pocket springs. We moved our production from Asia to the Czech Republic, which raised the quality of workmanship so much that we now give a 5-year warranty on our beds and mattresses.
The Royal Comfort sleep studio
We build a bed layer by layer, from the base up to the bed linen, and carry on into the bathroom. Our beds, mattresses, toppers, protectors, sheets, down pillows and duvets and bed linen are made in the Czech Republic; bathrobes and towels come under our own Royal Comfort brand.
Every bed is made to order. You choose the headboard, base, legs and one of our upholstery fabrics. We make non-standard sizes without limits. Our guide How to choose and assemble a continental bed will help you decide.
In the Czech Republic we also make toppers, mattress protectors, down pillows and duvets and bed linen. For high mattresses we offer fitted sheets for depths up to 45 cm. Our own brand also includes bathrobes and towels. The range is complemented by international brands: American mattresses by King Koil, down bedding from the German family company Mühldorfer, Swiss bed linen and textiles by Christian Fischbacher, and bathrobes and towels for your bathroom by King of Cotton.
We supply beds and mattresses to homes, premium residential projects and four- and five-star hotels. On request, we embroider initials or a hotel name on the mattress. We look after your bed for years to come: you will find professional servicing among our additional services.
You can try our beds and mattresses in our showrooms in Prague's Vinohrady district and in Hradec Králové. Compare mattress firmness side by side, and we will help you choose.
