Proper care of Royal Comfort mattresses

You have just bought or are about to buy a Royal Comfort or King Koil mattress that promises to improve the quality of your sleep. To ensure that your mattress serves you as efficiently and for as long as possible, it is important to pay attention to its maintenance. The following guidelines have been compiled to provide you with all the information you need to keep your Royal Comfort mattress in the best condition.

Ventilation of the mattress and removal of initial odours:

It is common for new mattresses to exhibit some initial odors after unpacking due to the new materials. Upon delivery, we recommend unpacking the mattress and placing it on its side in a well-ventilated area to allow these odors to ventilate.

Mattress Adaptation:

Similar to new shoes, it also takes some time for the body to get used to the new mattress. Please allow a few weeks for your body to adjust to the new level of support and comfort that the mattress provides.

Using a mattress protector:

To prevent moisture or liquid damage to the mattress, which can damage the cover fabric and inner material, it is important to use a mattress protector. This step serves as a prevention against dirt and moisture, thus protecting the mattress between it and the sheet.

Safe mattress handling:

- Never bend the mattress.

- Avoid sitting on its edges for long periods of time.

- Do not jump on the mattress.

- Transport the mattress upright by holding the longer side.

- Avoid repeated hard impacts during transport.

- Do not be near a mattress with an open flame and avoid using heaters near the mattress.

- Ask for help to carry the mattress as its weight makes handling more difficult.

Bed base/springbox:

A bed base is recommended for optimal support and durability of the mattress. We offer 5 types of these bed bases in different heights and designs that can support and extend the life of your mattress.

Regular mattress rotation:

For mattresses with the option of using both sides, it is necessary to rotate them regularly. The mattress should be rotated on its axis and flipped to the opposite side every three months to prevent permanent damage. Rotation should prevent uneven settling of the filling material and deformation. If your mattress has a removable topper, be sure to rotate it regularly as well. Do not lift the mattress by the handles or the topper when handling to avoid damage.
