How to choose and assemble a continental bed

Step by step procedure.

You can assemble any bed as a folding bed in our shop. To assemble the whole bed, you need to know the following procedure to make sure you have ordered the whole bed.

The bed consists of a headboard, bed base and legs. In the end, all you have to do is choose a suitable mattress.
The continental bed also includes bedside tables or benches.

Every time you order a bed or its components, we will call you and go over everything with you again. Only after your confirmation and payment of the 70% deposit will we start to produce the selected bed or its components.

1. Headboard

1. 1. Location
   With the exception of the Wagner headboard, the other headboards are not intended to be placed in a room. To ensure safety, they must be placed against the wall and larger headboards (from 150 cm high and 240 cm wide) must be anchored to the wall (anchoring included).
   1. 2. Width
   The headboard can be wider than the mattress - this will create any overlap you fancy. There are headboards that can grow up to 300 cm wide and 185 cm high, such as the Magnum headboard.
   1. 3. Design
   You can choose the fabric of which the headboard will be made from a swatch. The swatch is available in our showroom or at this link - fabric swatches.
   Please highlight your chosen fabric in the Notes when placing your order.

   2. Springbox or bed base
   When selecting a box, it is important to choose the correct type, height, design and leg layout. You can select the fabric here. It is not a rule that the headboard and base must be of the same fabric and colour design. Please underline your chosen fabric in the Notes when placing your order.
   Depending on the height of the person, the height of the bed should be 60 - 70cm. Do not forget to include in this height - the height of the legs (6 or 12 cm), the height of the base (20, 25 or 30 cm), the height of the mattress (26 - 42 cm) and, if applicable, the height of the topper, i.e. the top mattress (6 cm).

3. Feet
For feet, it is important to choose the height, design and number of feet. You can choose the layout of the feet when selecting your box.
3. 1. Height
For each type of feet you can choose from different heights and colour combinations. The choice of height is up to you, but it is important to keep all the legs the same height.

You can choose the colour of the feet on the specific feet tab.
3. 3. Number of feet
For the number of feet, a simple rule applies = 6 feet under 1 box (80 - 120 cm). For larger beds (i.e. 160 - 240 cm), 12 feet apply as this is 2 boxes per continental bed.

4. Mattress
On average, we spend a third of our lives immersed in dreamland, where our body and mind are renewed and recharged for the next challenge. To avoid the inconveniences associated with lack of rest, we need to choose carefully where we sleep and especially the mattress. While there is no universal guide to choosing the ideal bed, we are happy to present a few key aspects that you should consider before buying your new companion in the world of sweet dreams.
