Product detailed description
Egyptian Giza King of Cotton® towel
Made from Egyptian cotton. Genuine Egyptian cotton is grown and processed in the Nile Delta region of Egypt. Giza cotton has always been used mainly by Egyptian rulers, so you can rely on the comfort of this material.
Product care:
Every towelling fabric should be treated with care. Do not use fabric softener for washing. This can adversely affect absorbency, making it difficult to dry after a bath or shower. If you really insist, use only a few drops.
Specifications:
100% Egyptian cotton.
Weight: 600 g/m2
How to choose cotton products
Frequent customer queries are directed at the correct choice of towel weight. The density of a towel is judged according to the GSM unit of measurement - an abbreviation of the English term "Grams Per Square Metre", which translates as "grams per square metre". It indicates the density of the cotton from which the product is made. The higher the GSM, the more luxurious, softer, more absorbent and heavier the product will be. GSM values usually range from 300 to 1000 g/m2.
The secret of Egyptian cotton
We don't have to destroy nature for comfort. Egyptian cotton is grown without the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, so it is environmentally friendly. Unlike man-made fibres, cotton is a renewable resource and provides livelihoods for millions of people around the world. The spinning of Egyptian cotton is preceded by careful hand-picking to prevent dirt from getting trapped between the fibres. Compared to mechanical harvesting, hand-picked fibre is straight and intact.
Egyptian cotton is distinguished above all by the length of the fibre, which makes it possible to produce yarn without any loss of strength, which makes the fabric stronger and more resistant to frequent stress. Due to its high absorption capacity, the colours of the fabric are fuller, brighter and more durable even with frequent washing.
